Homework Schmomework

Yeah I know its not a word, but hey, neither is supercalifragalisticexpealidocious. Try that in your spell check, college lads and lasses.

Just wanted to write a post to encourage all of you to continue on with your schooling, but most of all READ YOUR BIBLES!! The greatest thing we can ever know is Jesus. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:1,2, "And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified."

Remember Jesus in all that you do.

Will do Paolo. Good to hear you found a possible job.

sorry about the horrendous spelling.

da-cold-hard-truth said...

What longboard code??? :P

Anonymous said...

never forget your longboard (unless situations dictate otherwise)

da-cold-hard-truth said...

got it

Anonymous said...

This "longboard code" coming from a guy who forgets his Bible at the church. Shame, shame.

Hey Ben... Hows Vienna looking???

Anonymous said...

hey, i'm a busy guy. got stuff to do and stuff on my mind. at least i got a bible on my laptop. and it goes with to school all the time. e-sword is awesome for average dudes like me. besides, its longboard code, not bible code (though did like that movie, the first one).

Hey Bean - unfortunately your apple isn't coming out by your name. I can see it when I moderate comments, but oh well.

As far as Vienna goes, nothing has been going. We lowered the price on our home again, but real estate is pretty slow right now. If God wants us to go, He'll make it happen.

OK... maybe the apple isn't working, but can I insert a picture in a comment? :P

That would be cool to know for the future.

HTML embedding is out of the question, for sure. Ant ideas?

Anonymous said...

"Ant ideas?" No Bean, we have no "ant ideas." Sorry!

heh, apple, only downfall of an apple when it isn't running a windows OS (or other windows programs that most apple users will abhor). otherwise its perfect. only reason i stick with pcs is due to the fact that its cheaper with the same specs as a mac to run autocad. and i rarely get any problems with the pcs i use.

As the moderator for these comments, I almost didn't publish that last comment. Sorry, Paolo, I couldn't disagree with you more.

I'm with you, ben.

Man law: a man should never EVER compare a PC as a better machine than a Mac.
As the publisher of the man law website, I will publish this law...

Anonymous said...

Best man law yet.

Anonymous said...

one: i'd use a mac too but i don't have two G's in my pocket to throw down for one.

two: autocad is for use primarily with pc's, plus pc's are cheaper and i like customizing my stuff. for like 500 less, you can get better specs with than a mac would offer. and as long as one doesn't jack the computer in any way, it runs like a whistle (and vista has grown on me a bit).

three: that manlaw is just plain stupid.

Hey ben, on the youth site, under "events," the Thursday morning devotions are still there. I wonder how many people have shown up to Strictly Organic? By the way Paolo, here is the URL to a site I found...

My thought for the day:
I know that the great commission is burned into our brains, but I know that I overlook it a lot... we need to invite people to church.

Anonymous said...

The youth events is on my to-do list. Along with Student of the Quarter. I mean, month.

beats me. and i may have found one thing Vista does that Mac OS doesn't.

Vista actually keeps track of which programs its user uses the most, and the ones who get the most use are automatically loaded into the ram. say if i use Firefox the most, Vista recognizes that little fact and loads it into memory quickly. any idea if mac have this feature?

Anonymous said...

Sounds to me like its Windows attempt at keeping pace with Mac OS X. OS X doesn't need to take the shortcuts and it will still beat Vista to the finish line.

da-cold-hard-truth said...

Macs do a lot of stuff in the background without slowing down the system. Paolo, when you turn on your computer, how long do you wait for background stuff to load? Trust me. Give yourself a couple of months, and it will start to get annoying.

da-cold-hard-truth said...

Need to soundproof my closet to play guitar, and it needs to be fairly cheap. Any ideas? I looked into soundboard... how well does that stuff work???

Anonymous said...

well, to beat the cost, thats probably why windows went that route instead of copying macs (for the most part). and vista could probably catch up near mac when configured right, but then you can attack back saying mac doesn't need configuring. for guys like me who like to tweak stuff, good for me.

and i never turn off my laptop. i use hibernation which is faster than startup and shutdown. or i put it on sleep or restart when i have an update.

da-cold-hard-truth said...

Vista will never catch up to mac OS X

Alright guys, I think its time to step in here. Let's keep this about pointing to Jesus and edifying each other. I apologize for any comments I made to fuel the fire.

Pray for me, I'm home sick tonight. Steve is pinch-hitting for me.

so what exactly do you have ben? just a regular flu or a flu on steroids? heh heh....

Anonymous said...
